APA Accreditation At WPA
Are you currently affiliated with a department that has an APA accredited doctoral level training program or have you been within the past 5 years? If the answer is yes, then you can earn 7.5 credits!
The Commission on Accreditation (CoA) will be conducting a full day (8:00am-5:00pm) Doctoral Program Site Visitor Training Workshop on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 in conjunction with the WPA convention. This workshop is open to both new site visitors (meeting the criteria) and experienced site visitors. Participants in this full-day workshop receive 7.5 CE credits, and the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation pays the CE fees for each participant.
There is a need in the site visitor pool for generalists (psychologists in areas other than clinical, counseling, and school psychology). The CoA makes a special effort to ensure diversity among site visitors and strongly encourages the nomination of women and members of underrepresented groups.
There is no cost for attending this workshop. To obtain further details on registration and criteria for becoming a site visitor, contact Kristen Thompson at (202) 336-5995 or kthompson@apa.org immediately.
