The 2012 WPA Convention will be at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in Burlingame. The dates are April 26 to April 29, 2012. The Terman Teaching Conference will be held on April 25 from 9am to 5pm. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from both the airport and downtown Burlingame. Hotel Reservations
Please make hotel reservations at the Hyatt Regency using this Hyatt Passkey link https://resweb.passkey.com/go/5ef5f567. It will fill in the WPA dates and make sure that your reservation is counted toward our mandatory room block.
Airport Transportation Services
Most attendees will be arriving at San Francisco Airport . The hotel provides a free shuttle service. The shuttle is available every day, 24 hours a day and runs every 10 to15 minutes (30 minutes between midnight and 5am). Take your luggage to the Departures Level, center island, and look for the area marked "Hotel Shuttle." The shuttle bus is marked "Hyatt Regency and Marriott".
If you arrive at Oakland airport, you can get to San Francisco airport via BART (see the Quick Planner at http://www.bart.gov/) -- this will involve a short bus ride from the Oakland airport to the Oakland BART station and a transfer at the Balboa Park BART station -- about 90 minutes total).
Transportation to Downtown San Francisco

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit): Take the complimentary Shuttle Bus to and from SFO Airport International Terminal to connect with BART. Cost from to downtown is approximately $8.10 one-way.

SFO Airporter shuttle: Service is offered between SFO Int'l Airport and the Embarcadero or Union Square. Take the complimentary Shuttle Bus to and from SFO Airport to connect with Airporter. Cost is $10.00 one-way, $15.00 round trip.

Taxi: Service from the Hyatt to downtown takes approximately 30 minutes, with a cost of $45.00-$55.00 each way.

Town Car Service: Service from the Hyatt to downtown takes approximately 25 minutes, with an estimated cost of $55.00 plus 20% gratuity. See the concierge for arrangements.

Public Bus: Bus #7B will pick-up in front of the hotel. The ride will take approximately one Hour, and cost $1.50. The bus will also pick-up at SFO Airport, which will take 35 minutes and cost $2.50.

Local Transit System:Sam Trans will get you from Burlingame to San Francisco at a cost of $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for youth and seniors.

Trains: Caltrain operates weekday trains between San Francisco and San Jose, with commute-hour service to Gilroy. Weekend service is offered from San Francisco to San Jose. Caltrain station is five minutes from the Hyatt. Ask the concierge about the free shuttle to the Caltrain station.
Transportation to Downtown Burlingame
Downtown Burlingame has numerous excellent restaurants, interesting shops, the Pez Store and Museum and the Classic Toy Museum.
There is a free trolley service available from the Hyatt to downtown Burlingame. Available Mondays through Saturdays. Ask the hotel concierge for a schedule.
Hotel parking
The self-parking garage is usually $20 per day but will be $13 per day if you identify yourself as attending WPA. Hourly rates are $4.00 for the first hour and $2.00 thereafter. Valet parking is available but there is no discount.
