2011 WPA Convention
The 2011 WPA Convention will be in Los Angeles from April 28 to May 1, 2011 at the Wilshire Grand. The Terman Teaching Conference will be held on April 27, from 9am to 5pm. The hotel is very close to the LA Live Entertainment Complex, Disney Hall, and other downtown attractions. It is next to a metro station to take you to Union Station, Hollywood, and Universal City. 2011 Hotel Information and Arrival Information
All WPA presentations and events will occur at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in downtown Los Angeles Apr 28-May 1, 2011. The Terman Teaching Conference is also held at the Wilshire Grand on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. The Terman Conference requires a separate registration.
Airport Transportation
Most attendees will be arriving at LAX. Detailed information on shuttles and metro transportation will be available soon.
Arrival by Car or Train
Parking at the Wilshire Grand is very expensive. There are alternative parking garages within a four block radius of the hotel. We urge you to consider using Metrolink in the Southern California area or Amtrak. These trains stop at Union Station. From there, the Red Line metro takes you directly to the hotel at the 7th Street station.
Wilshire Grand Hotel information:
You may secure your reservation by phone or Internet. The deadline for reservations is March 15, 2011; we filled the hotel at the last convention earlier than the deadline so you should make your reservation early. We cannot guarantee than rooms will be available up to the deadline. Any reservation received after March 15, 2011 will be accepted on a space and or rate available basis only.
The group rate that has been secured for this conference is $179.00 plus tax. This includes Internet access.
